This 4-hour interactive presentation is designed specifically for crisis negotiators who wish to develop their skills in documenting and analyzing police stand-off incidents. Attendees will learn how to transform real-life experiences into educational case studies that highlight key negotiation strategies, lessons learned, and risk-effective techniques. These case studies will be structured for impactful presentations at in-service trainings and regional/state association conferences.
Objectives:
Understand the Structure of a Case Study: Learn the essential components of a case study, including the introduction, body (which details the incident and negotiation process), and conclusion (which outlines the lessons learned and recommendations).
Documenting Techniques: Gain insights into effectively capturing the details of the incident, focusing on the negotiation strategies used, the outcomes achieved, and the challenges faced.
Presentation Skills: Develop skills in creating engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate the case study to an audience.
