This classroom-based course equips officers with essential knowledge for planning high-risk warrants and complex tactical operations. While primarily designed for SWAT officers, it also offers valuable insights for other tactical unit members involved in investigative support. Training topics include the elements of high-risk warrant service, such as intelligence gathering, target reconnaissance, diversion techniques, breaching methods, and tactical planning. The course also compares dynamic entry and slow, deliberate clearing methods, highlighting their respective advantages and disadvantages. Participants will learn strategies such as limited penetration, breach and hold, and contain-and-call-out techniques. Overall, the course aims to enhance officers' tactical planning skills to promote safer and more effective operations.
