INCIDENT DEBRIEF

After killing two people and shooting another, the suspect led police on a lengthy pursuit that terminated when the vehicle tires were deflated. The suspect refused to exit his vehicle which prompted the response from SWAT. Once on scene, SWAT personnel prevented the suspect from leaving by blocking his vehicle using a Lenco BearCat and an armored Excursion. After attempts to negotiate with the suspect to surrender, chemical agents were introduced into the suspect vehicle which caused the suspect to fire at SWAT personnel which resulted in an Officer Involved Shooting. The suspect was struck by gunfire and was subsequently taken into custody. Paramedics assessed the suspect and determined he had succumbed to his injures.
