Active assailant/active shooter incidents continue to be one of the most chaotic events law enforcement deals with. They are also among the most critical tasks patrol will deal with. As trainers, it is imperative to continually evaluate nationwide trends to guide our training. This, in turn, must make us put a critical eye on how we constantly expand and modify the training our people receive. In this presentation, we will discuss how trainers can evaluate their current program and suggest best practices for operational overview, tactics, and scenario design to meet this ever-evolving threat.
