Perez, Emily
Lt. Emily Perez began her law enforcement career as a corrections officer at the Nueces County Sheriff's Department in 1999. She joined the Corpus Christi Police Department in 2006. She has held various positions, including patrol officer, directed patrol officer, field training officer, senior police advisor for Explorer post #133, recruiter, peer support officer, academy instructor and hostage negotiator. She was promoted to lieutenant in 2014 and currently holds a dual supervisor position for the special investigations division, hostage negotiations and peer support team. Lt. Perez has been on the hostage negotiations team since 2013 and a supervisor since 2014.
