Pope, Scott

MSgt. Scott Pope is a 26-year veteran of the Oklahoma City Police Department. Throughout his career, he has served in the Hefner Patrol Division, the Gang Enforcement Unit, and the Detective Bureau. During these assignments, Scott survived multiple deadly force encounters that significantly shaped his professional journey. The impact of these experiences and the resulting PTS symptoms deeply affected his personal life. In 2015, Scott and his spouse attended a Post-Critical Incident Seminar (PCIS) for first responders, where he was introduced to tools and resources that helped him not only endure the challenges of his career but also thrive. Today, he serves as a full-time Wellness Sergeant and CIRT canine handler for his partner, "Will." He is also a long-standing member of the Tactical Unit, serving as a Crisis Negotiator for nearly a decade.
