Schaeffer, Rod
Rod Schaeffer began his career in 1992 with the Lee's Summit, MO Police Department and has been on the Emergency Services Squad (SWAT) since 1994. As a captain, he currently serves as a Patrol Watch Commander and SWAT Commander. He served as an operator, team supervisor, and team commander. Rod is a recipient of the Police Medal of Valor and was the officer of the year in 2000 and employee of the year in 2013. Rod teaches the SWAT Command and Decision-Making I course for the NTOA.
