Komondor, Gene

Gene Komondor is a FEMA-certified Master Exercise Practitioner who has designed, conducted and evaluated public safety exercises throughout the country. His exercise projects have included Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attack (CCTA) scenarios; response to bio-terror attacks utilizing the Strategic National Stockpile; and school Active Shooter scenarios. Mr. Komondor taught at the University of Pittsburgh for 20 years and has also served as an Instructor at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD. He holds a Master.s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Bachelor Degrees in Public Administration and Human Resource Management, and has also completed Executive Education training at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He served as a municipal Emergency Management Coordinator for 13 years. He recently retired as the CEO of a large EMS agency that served a population of 188,000 in western Pennsylvania.
