Periatt, Chris

Chris Periatt began his law enforcement career with the Detroit Police Department in 1994. He started with the St. Clair Shores Police Department in 1996, where he worked in many capacities, including patrol, SWAT, K9, and warrant recovery. He served as a senior Tactical Patrol Officer, FTO, advanced active threat instructor, senior firearms instructor, senior subject control instructor, and master use-of-force instructor. He retired in December 2018 from St. Clair Shores and is currently the Director of Training for Range 517 in Lansing, Michigan. He is certified in six subject control programs and teaches and trains Krav Maga. Chris is an instructor for the NTOA in active shooter instructor, school and workplace violence, and advanced patrol tactics. Chris is a court-recognized expert in K9 deployments and use of force by the United States District Court Eastern District of Michigan and the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Macomb County. He has been the President of the Michigan Tactical Officers Association is the Patrol section chair for the NTOA. He was honorable discharged from the US Marine Corps(R) (SOC) after serving over six years as a squad leader in a weapons platoon, 0351, from 1987-1994. Chris has an undergraduate degree from American Military University with a major in criminal justice.
